About Lauren

Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Registered Clinical Supervisor, a Certified Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She attends numerous trainings each year to remain at the forefront of neuroscience-informed trauma treatment — because she firmly believes the brain has the capacity to heal itself.

She is married with five wonderful children, a daughter- and son-in-law, and four grandchildren. Her family also includes English Mastiffs, Yorkies, cats, fish, and multiple desert tortoises. Lauren is not a faith-based counselor, though she is a Christian, and she works with people from all walks of life — including LGBTQ+ individuals.

Lauren is a volunteer advisory board member for P.I.S.T.L.E. and has had the privilege of volunteering twice with West Coast Post-Trauma Retreat, supporting first responders on their healing journeys.

When you walk into Lauren's office, you'll find water bottles, snacks, a Keurig, and a large massage chair reserved exclusively for first responders. Come in uniform or plain clothes — you are welcome exactly as you are. Lauren uses humor thoughtfully in her sessions and strives to create an environment that feels warm, safe, and nothing like a clinical doctor's office.
